PANCHAGARH, Feb 15, 2022 (BSS) - Divisional commissioner of Rangpur Md Abdul Wahab Bhuiyan today said Debiganj upazila of the district will be the national scout training center for the country's scout students.

Students of different school and college Rover Scout teams across the country will get training from the training center.

The training center would be constructed on 15.37 acres of land located at the south part of Karatoa Bridge of the upazila.

The government has allocated Taka 10 crore for different construction works of the training center, the divisional commissioner informed while visiting the site.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Johurul Islam, upazila chairman Abdul Malek Chistee, Debiganj Municipality Mayor Abu Bakkar Siddiq and Abdur Rashid, deputy director of Scout Dinajpur region, were present, among others.
