Four held with phensedyl in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 16, 2022 (BSS) – The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in two separate raids arrested four presumed drug traders with contraband phensedyl in the last 24 hours ending at 4 pm today from the metropolis.

“The DB police arrested the four men with 190 bottles of phensedyl from different places in the metropolis,” said a press release issued this afternoon by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB and Media) of RpMP Sajjad Hossain.

The detainees were Shah Jalal Islam, 24,of village Purbo Amjhol, Shafikul Islam, 28, of village Amjhol Hajirmath of Hatibandha upazila and Ramjan Ali, 32, of village Uttar Mushrat Modati in Kaliganj upazila of Lamonirhat and Sohel Rana, 35, of village Ronjoypur in in Nababganj upazial of Dinajpur districts.

“After filing two separate cases in these connections against the arrested four persons under the Narcotics Control Act 2018, the DB police handed them over to Kotwali police station of RpMP,” the release added.
