MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 22, 2022 (BSS) - A woman and her daughter were killed

and two others injured in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-
rickshaw on the Baligaon-Tongibari-Dhaka road in Tulakai area under Tongibari
upazila of the district this morning.

     The deceased were identified as Shiuli Begum, 40, and her daughter Putul
Akter, 20, residents of Bhadrasan village in Madaripur district.

     The accident occurred in the area when the truck collided head-on with
the CNG run auto-rickshaw at around 9 am, leaving auto-rickshaw passengers
Shiuli begum and her daughter Putul dead on the spot and two others injured,
said officer-in-charge (OC) of Tongibari Police Station Mollah Ali Soyeb.

     The injured Anisa, daughter of Putul, and the CNG driver were sent to
the local upazila health complex.

     Police arrested the truck driver Babul Miah, 38, the OC added.
