CHATTOGRAM, Feb 24, 2022 (BSS) - A total of 35 people were detected positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours after testing 2,246 samples in 15 Covid-19 laboratories in the city and district.

   The Covid-19 infection rate declined to 1.56 per cent till Thursday morning.

   The total number of Covid-19 patients climbed to 1,26,259 in Chattogram district after detecting 35 new patients, Dr Ilias Chowdhury, civil surgeon of Chattogram told BSS today.

  A total of 1,11,232 patients recovered from Covid-19 with the curing 209 more people till this morning raising the average recovery rate to 88.10 percent in the district.

   With no new deaths recorded during the period, the death toll steady at 1,362.

   A total of 376 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different designated hospitals here.
