RANGPUR, Feb 26, 2022 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur
Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested two alleged drug traders with ganja from
Modern Mour area in the metropolis on Friday midnight.

  "On a tip off, a special team of the DB police conducted a raid and
arrested the duo with 3.50 kilograms of ganja from the spot," said a press
release issued today by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB and
Media) of RpMP Sajjad Hossain.

  The detainees were identified as Md. Rakib Hossain, 20, of village
Sahebpara and Md. Moynul Islam, 32, of nearby village Khonchabari under Sadar
upazila in Lalmonirhat district.

  "After filing a case against the arrested persons under the Narcotics
Control Act 2018, the DB police handed them over to Tazhat police station of
RpMP today," the release added.
