RANGPUR, Feb 27, 2022 (BSS) - Leaders of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League
(BMAL) at a discussion today vowed to realize the dream of Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through building a developed Sonar
Bangla.
They took the vow at the discussion organised by the district unit of BMAL
at its office in Betpotti area of the city to celebrate the 53rd founding
anniversary of the organization.
Leaders and workers of district BMAL brought out a colourful rally, placed
wreaths at the portrait and mural of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Square in the
city followed by cutting a cake, doa mehfil and discussion at its office.
President of the district unit of BMAL Mortuza Mansur presided over the
discussion while its General Secretary Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite
moderated the event at its office in the evening.
General Secretary of Rangpur district Awami League Advocate Rezaul Karim
Razu attended the discussion as the chief guest.
Office Secretary of district Awami League Amin sarker, Office Secretary of
city Awami League Shafikul Islam Rahel and Health and Population Affairs
Secretary of district Awami League Ershadul Haque Ranju addressed as special
guests.
Vice-president of district Mohila Awami League Parvin Aktar, its
Organising Secretary Arefin Beauty and Office Secretary Kaniz Afroz Konia
also spoke.
Religious Affairs' Secretary of district Awami League Moulana Moynul Islam
conducted the doa mahfil seeking divine blessings for the departed souls of
Bangabandhu and his other family members martyred on August 15, 1975.
Similarly, leaders and activists of Rangpur city unit of BMAL brought out
a rally, placed wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu, cut a cake and organized
a discussion to celebrate the 53rd founding anniversary of the organisation.
Presided over by President of Rangpur city unit of Bangladesh Mohila Awami
League Mamtaz Begum, its General Secretary Ismat Ara Bonnya moderated the
discussion at its office with participation of the leaders and workers of the
organisation.
