Over 2.23-cr doses Covid-19 jabs vaccinated in Rangpur

  RANGPUR, Mar 7, 2022 (BSS) - A total of two crore 23 lakh 52 thousand and

685 doses of Covid-19 jabs were vaccinated till Sunday in Rangpur division
where the pandemic situation continues improving in recent weeks.

   Health officials said the Covid-19 vaccination campaign continues smoothly
through inoculation of eligible citizens with the Covid-19 jabs in all eight
districts of the division.

  Citizens are being vaccinated with five types of Covid-19 jabs from
different companies like Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech and
Sinovac across the division.

  "Till Sunday, a total of 1,32,49,341 people got the first dose of Covid-19
jabs, and of them, 86,73,822 got the second dose and 4,29,522 got the booster
dose," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam told BSS.

  The first dose recipient 1,32,49,341 citizens include 39,29,220 people
vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 19,61,180 with Pfizer Covid-19
jabs, 52,19,520 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,31,876 with Moderna
Covid-19 jabs and 20,07,545 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.

  The second dose recipient 86,73,822 citizens include 21,25,935 people
inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 15,38,242 with Pfizer Covid-19
jabs, 48,78,027 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,27,554 with Moderna Covid-19
jabs and 1,131 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.

  "Meanwhile, the 4,29,522 booster dose recipients include 4,16,870
vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 9,562 with Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-
19 jabs and 3,090 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs," Dr. Islam added.
