RAJSHAHI, March 15, 2022 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an
anti-crime drive, arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 498 bottles of
phensidyl in the district early in the morning today, RAB sources said this
noon.

     The arrested persons were identified as Nul Alam, 38, son of late Abdur
Rahim, Minarul Islam, 24, son of Abdus Salam and Hasibur Rahman, 20, son of
Nurul Islam.

     Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force halted a private car at
Kakramary area under Charghat Upazila and recovered the contraband item after
searching the car at around 5.00 am.

    The operation team also arrested the three persons including its driver,
the RAB sources said.

     Later, the arrested persons along with the seized car and contraband
goods were handed over to police.

     A case was filed with Charghat Police Station in this connection.
