Two held with 41-kg ganja in Parbatipur

 RANGPUR, April 1, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
seized 41 kilograms of ganja with a truck and arrested two alleged drug
traders from Haldibari Rail Gate area in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur
district on Thursday night.

 The arrested were identified as the driver of the seized truck Md. Hassan,
25, of Brahamanbaria district and helper Md. Ershad Ali, 27, of Hajiganj
district.

"On a tip-off, an operational team of the RAB-13 conducted a raid and
arrested drug traders with the contraband ganja and detained the truck from
the spot," said a press release issued today by Senior Assistant Director
(Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed.

 During primary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they had
been involved in trading ganja in connivance with their other cohorts for a
long.

 "After filing a case in this connection against the detainees, the elite
force handed over them to Parbatipur Police Station in Dinajpur," the release
said, adding that investigation continues to nab the other absconding cohorts
of the arrested persons.
