CHUADANGA, April 4, 2022 (BSS)- At least three people were killed in two separate road accidents at Alamdanga and Jibannagar upazilas of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Al Amin, a truck driver from Ibrahimpur village under Damurhuda upazila of the district, Ashikur Rahman, a driver's assistant from the same village and Hasan Ali, son of Ali Ahmed of Goalpara village under the same upazila of the district.
At Alamdanga upazila, a road accident occurred when the driver of the truck lost control over the steering and fell into a roadside ditch in front of the Srirampur Community Clinic on the Kushtia-Alamdanga road here this afternoon, leaving both the driver and his assistant dead on the spot, officer-in-charge (OC) of Alamdanga Police Station Saiful Islam told BSS.
On information, a team of police recovered the bodies and sent them to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem, he said.
In another accident at Jibannagar upazila, a man lost control while driving his tractor and fell into a ditch at around 8am this morning. He died on the spot.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the Sadar Hospital morgue for postmortem.
