RANGPUR, April 9, 2022 (BSS) - Freedom Fighter Majibar Rahman Dulu was  killed in a road accident in Mukimpur-Battola area of Pirganj in Rangpur.

The incident took place around 9.00 this morning as the battery-run van carrying Dulu was hit by a truck at Balua road of Mukimpur-Battola area of Pirganj Upazila.

 After the incident, he was taken to Pirganj Upazila Health Complex. Later, he was shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where he breathed his last around 11 am. 

He was 75.

Dulu, also Freedom Fighter Affairs secretary of Kabilpur Union Awami League, is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son.

The heroic freedom fighter will be laid to eternal rest tomorrow 9am at his family graveyard at Karimpur village of Kabilpur Union with full state honour.

Meanwhile, Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
