RANGPUR, April 10, 2022 (BSS) - Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) arranged a discussion on the importance of the holy month of Ramadan followed by doa and Iftar mahfil at RCCI auditorium here this evening.
Additional Divisional Commissioner Md. Ibrahim Khan attended the function as the chief guest with RCCI President Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu in the chair.
Senior Vice-president of FBCCI and former RCCI President Alhaj Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Rangpur District Council Chairman Advocate Chhafia Khanom, General Secretary of district Awami League (AL) Advocate Rezaul Karim Razu, Tax Commissioner for Taxes Zone-Rangpur Mohd Abul Kalam, Divisional Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate Suresh Chandra Biswas, General Secretary of city AL Tushar Kanti Mandal, former FBCCI Director and former RCCI President heroic freedom fighter Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, Senior Vice-president of RCCI Md. Azizul Islam Mintu and its Vice-president Manjur Ahmed Azad were present as guests of honour.
The RCCI president in his welcome speech greeted the invited guests on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and thanked them for attending the programme.
Khatib of Rangpur Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque Alhaj Hafez Kwari Moulana Md. Bayezid Hussaine delivered the keynote speech as the main discussant narrating the importance of the holy Ramadan, Iftar and Zakat.
After the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for continuous peace, progress and well-being of the country and its people before the Iftar mahfil followed by offering Maghrib prayers.
Former and incumbent directors of RCCI, its former and incumbent executive committee members, general members, industrialists and businesspersons, government and NGO officials, leaders of different business organisations, elite of the city, professionals, educationists, journalists and civil society members were present.
