MAGURA, April 15, 2022 (BSS) - A total of 35,000 poor and distressed families 
of sadar upazila of the district will get rice under special Vulnerable Group 
Feeding (VGF) Programme on the occasion of Eid. 
 
Officials of the district administration said the Ministry of Disaster 
Management and Relief has allocated the rice for distribution to the poor and 
distressed families living in Sadar upazila of the district. 

Saifuzzaman Shikhar, MP of Magura-1 constituency, inaugurated the 
distribution of VGF rice as the chief guest, at a function held on Jagdal and 
Chaulia Union Parishad premises under Magura Sadar Upazila yesterday 
afternoon.

Sadar Upazila Chairman Abu Nasir Bablu, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Yasin 
Kabir, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Ashraful Alam Babul Fakir, Jagdal 
UP Chairman Syed Rafiqul Islam and Chaulia UP Chairman Hafizar Rahman, among 
others, spoke on the occasion.
  
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Yasin Kabir said steps are being taken to 
complete distribution of the allocated rice to the card holder families 
before the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festivity to assist them in celebrating the 
festivity.
