GAIBANDHA, APRIL 27, 2022 (BSS)- Three people including the driver of an

auto rickshaw were killed in a road accident on Rangpur-Bogura Highway in
Maheshpur area under Palashbari upazila in the district this morning.

     The victims are identified as Tazu Miah,25, son of Raza Miah, of
Cheragpur village under Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur district, Sabuz Miah, 30,
son of Dula Miah, and auto-rickshaw driver Sohel Miah, 35, son of Solaiman
Miah, of the same village.

     Police said an auto-rickshaw loaded with vegetable was going to
Maheshpur Haat. When the auto-rickshaw reached the area, a Panchagarh bound
passenger bus coming from Dhaka ran over the auto-rickshaw leaving driver
Sohel and vegetable cultivator Tazu killed on the spot and passenger Sabuz
injurd seriously.

     Sabuz died on the way to hospital.

     Sub-inspector of Gobindaganj Highway Thana Solaiman Islam visited the
spot and said three dead bodies were recovered and sent them to Gaibandha
hospital morgue for autopsy.
