Main Eid jamat at Zila Parishad Eidgah Maidan in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, May 01, 2022 (BSS) - The main congregation will be held at Zila Parishad Eidgah Maidan at 7:30 am on Eid day in the district.

If there is any rough weather, the main Eid jamat will be held at Chalk Bazar Jame Mosque at the same time.

All preparations have been completed to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the the greatest religious festivals of the Muslims, in the district with due religious solemnity.

Islamic Foundation Deputy Director SK Akramul Haque told BSS that Chief Imam and Khatib of Chalk Bazar Jame Mosque Hafez Mowlana Mufti Mohammad Enamul Hasan will conduct the Eid ul Fitr prayer.
 
Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarker, Superintendent of Police Md. Alimuzzaman and Faridpur Pourashava Mayor Amitav Bose will extend Eid greetings to the Muslim devotees at the main congregation at Zila Parishad Eidgah Maidan.

The congregations will also be held in 23 mosques of the town as well as different Eidgah maidans and localities of 9 upazilas of the district.

Faridpur DC has provided Eid cards inscribed with good wishes on Eid.

Faridpur Zila Parishad has prepared the congregation field where the Muslim devotees will offer prayer with religious fervor and festivity.

Faridpur Pourashava has taken initiative to beautify and decorate the streets and road dividers of the town with seven colored flags. 

The Imams of 140 mosques have already been honoured with financial support of TK 3000 each as Eid gift by Faridpur Pourashava.

Law enforcers will be vigilant at different places including congregation fields to avert any untoward situation on Eid day.

A medical team has been kept prepared by civil surgeon office to provide health service at Eidgah Maidan.

Improved food will be served at Shishu paribar, deaf and dumb school, district prison, hospitals and orphanage centres on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the main buildings of the government and semi government offices have already been illuminated ahead of Eid in the district.

On the holy day, the Muslim community in the district will offer special munajats seeking divine blessings for eternal peace of departed souls of their relatives and continued peace and prosperity of the country, its people, Muslim Ummah and whole humanity.
