CHATTOGRAM, June 23, 2020 (BSS) - Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) in a 
special drive today evicted 21 illegal structures, erected in the city's 
Biyazid hilly area, today.

Special magistrate of CDA Tahmina Afroj Chowdhury in cooperation with law 
enforcers and others people concerned conducted the drive in the area and 
bulldozed 21 illegal makeshift houses during five-hour drive from 11 am. 

Tahmina Afroj Chowdhury told BSS that although several notices were served 
from the district administration, the makeshift house owners are still 
staying on the demarcated government land.

Representatives from different stakeholders, including firefighters, Power 
Development Board and Metropolitan Police personnel participated in the 
drive.
