RANGPUR, July 25, 2022 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested
four accused in the sensational murder case of nephew Khaled Masum of
Nilphamari by his maternal uncle Md Sher Ali alias Hanif from Tentulia
upazila in Panchagarh on Sunday night.
 
"The arrested persons are the victim's maternal uncle Md. Sher Ali alias
Hanif, 22, Md Fakir Uddin, 27, Surita Begum, 48, and Maleka Begum, 22, of
Dimla and Jaldhaka upazilas in Nilphamari district," a press release issued
by Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud
Bashir Ahmed said today.
 
Khaled Masum, 18, of village Purbo Chatnai in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari,
was killed allegedly by a group of people, including his maternal uncle Sher
Ali following a long-standing enmity over a land on July 20 last.

Later, the victim's father filed a murder case with Dimla police station in
Nilphamari on the same day.

During interrogation, prime accused Sher Ali along with his other associates
confessed to killing Khaled over land dispute on July 20.

The elite force handed over the arrested persons to Dimla police station for
further legal proceedings.
