NATORE, July 26, 2021 (BSS) - A number of 121 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 359 samples at National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Center, Dhaka, Natore Sadar Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and three Upazila Health complexes COVID-19 rapid antigen and Genexpert testing centers.

   The infection rate is 33.70 percent in the district, said civil surgeon (acting) Dr. Mahbubur Rahman.

   Meanwhile, three persons have died with coronavirus infection during this period.

   According to the civil surgeon's office sources, samples of 24,095 people have been tested in the district so far and 6,352 people have been found COVID-19 positive, while the number of recovery cases at 2,731.

   A total of 106 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, said the civil surgeon.

   At present, the number of persons in the home isolation in the district is 3,464 and the number of patients at the Natore Sadar Hospital quarantine 51, he said.

   The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
