BHOLA, Aug 25, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Coast Guard arrested two persons with 4,300 litres of stolen soybean oil from a covered van in Ilisha Ferighat area in Sadar upazila of the district today.

The arrested were identified as driver of the covered van Hadis Sarif, 27, and Alamin, 14. They are residents of Lejskhina village of Lalmohan upazila of the district.

On secret information, the members the Coast Guard South Zone conducted a drive in Ilisha Ferighat area this morning and recovered the soybean oil from a covered and arrested two persons involving this matter, said media officer Lieutenant K M Shafiul Kinjal.

The soybean oil was allegedly being smuggled to Dhaka by a covered van from Daulatkhan upazila of the district, he added.

Later, they were handed over to the Bhola Sadar Thana.
