RANGPUR, Aug 28, 2022 (BSS) - Three fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 30 new samples with 10 percent positivity rate in Rangpur division on Saturday.
 
Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation is showing an improving trend during the past few weeks across the division.
 
"With the diagnosis of the three fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,878 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam said today.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,106 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
 
The number of casualties also remained same at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the period.   
 
Meanwhile, more 8,162 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Saturday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore nine lakh 72 thousand and 192 doses in the division.
 
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,35,80,527 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,13,352 as the second doses and 43,78,313 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
