RANGPUR, Sept 2, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a
drive, arrested three persons with 253 bottles of phensedyl from Muradpur
village under Kotwali Police Station of Dinajpur district last night.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Sohel Rana, 27, of village
Muradpur, Md. Sabuzar Rahman, 52, of village Nunaichh Biladpara and Md.
Shamim Sohag, 19, of village Muradpur Sahapara under Kotwali police station
of Dinajpur district.
"On a tip-off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialized
Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 conducted a drive there and arrested the three men
red-handed with the contraband phensedyl from the spot," a press release said
here today.
The elite force also seized three mobile phone sets from their possession.
During interrogation, the detainees admitted their involvement in drug
trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long time.
"After filing a case against the arrested persons in this connection, the
elite force handed them over to Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station," the release
added.
