HABIGANJ, Sept 13, 2022 (BSS) - A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive realized Taka 13,000 as fine from the owners of two restaurants for violating hygiene rules in Shaistaganj new bridge area in Chunarughat upazila of the district
today.

Sources concerned said the team led by assistant director of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in Habiganj Debnanda Sinha, conducted the drive at Al Baraka Hotel, fined Taka 8,000 for  making and selling food in unhygienic environment and Driver Hotel, fined Taka 5,000 for making and selling food in unhygienic environment in Shaistaganj new bridge area in Chunarughat upazila.

The business establishments were fined Taka 13,000 for violating hygiene rules and violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation team.

The DNCPR drive would continue in the district, Sinha added.
