RANGPUR, Sept 21, 2022 (BSS) - Four fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after
testing 28 samples at the 14.29 percent positivity rate in Rangpur division
on Tuesday.
 
Health officials said the number of diagnosed fresh Covid-19 cases is showing
a rising trend in recent days in the division where the pandemic situation
was improving in recent weeks.
 
"With the diagnosis of the four fresh cases, the number of Covid-19 patients
rose to 64,829 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md
Zakirul Islam told BSS.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,232 as
no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
 
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was
reported during the period.  
 
Meanwhile, more 7,352 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Tuesday
raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 12 lakh 28 thousand
and 805 doses in the division.
 
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,53,617 doses were
inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,47,735 as the second doses and 45,27,453
as the booster doses," Dr. Islam said.
