RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2022 (BSS) - Two fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed and 63 more infected patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today in the division.
 
Health officials said the two new Covid-19 positive cases were reported after testing 40 samples at the positivity rate of five percent.
 
"With the diagnosis of the two fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,873 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam told BSS.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,353 with the healing of 63 more patients during the last 24 hours.
 
The number of casualties remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the time.  
 
Meanwhile, more 6,147 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Tuesday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 12 lakh 86 thousand and 96 doses in the division.
 
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,56,981 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,56,759 as the second doses and 45,72,356 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
