MUNSHIGANJ, Oct 17, 2022 (BSS) - Chairman of Tongibari upazila parishad under Munshiganj district Jaglul Halder Bhutu died of cardiac arrest at his Dhighirpar village residence of the upazila today.

He was 73.

Bhutu, former president of Upazila Awami League, left behind his wife, two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

A most popular leader of the district, known as Bhutu Halder, was first elected upazila chairman in 1990. He was also elected union parishad chairman of Dhighirpar union several times.
