England vs Pakistan: Head-to-head stats ahead of T20WC final

stats ahead of the summit clash.

*MCG was the biggest cricket stadium with capacity of more than one lakh
seats for the spectators until India's Narendra Modi Stadium dethroned it
with 1.32 lakh seats.

*Out of the 28 matches between the two sides, England are comfortably ahead
with 18-9 and one match ended in no result. England led at their home venue
7-3, at neutral venue 7-2 and at Pakistan's home venue it's 4-4.

*At the Iconic MCG, both sides have never won a T20I match.

* England and Pakistan will meet in a World Cup final again after 30 years.
At the same venue in MCG, Pakistan won their so far only ODI World Cup,
beating England by 22 runs in 1992 thanks to an allround performance of Wasim
Akram.

*There are more striking similarities with the 1992 World cup while Pakistan
defeated New Zealand in the semifinal en route to the final.

*Both teams played twice against each other in T20 World Cup and on both
occasions England came out as winner, having beaten Pakistan by six wickets
in 2010 and 48 runs in 2009.

10 matches.

*Both teams lost to minnows in Group phase. Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe and
England suffered a defeat to Ireland.

England's highest against Pakistan in 221 and lowest in 135.

*Babar Azam has most T20I runs for Pakistan against England. He scored 560
runs against the Three Lions with his 110 not out off 66 balls at Karachi in
September this year being his best.

*Fast bowler Haris Rauf has the most wickets (14) for Pakistan against
England while Graeme Swann and Adil Rashid led the way for England with 17
wickets each.

*The Pakistani opening duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have the highest
partnership runs in a career. The duo have scored 2509 runs from 51 innings,
ahead of the Indian openers Rohit Sharma-KL Rahul (1897) from 42 innings.
Babar and Rizwan have highest nine century runs partnership, which is
comfortably four better than Rohit and Rahul.
