RANGPUR, Dec 6, 2022 (BSS) – Porshuram Thana Police of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested a man with 3,789 pieces of Yaba tablets from Mama-Vagney Mour on the Kakina-Mohipur-Rangpur road in the city on Monday night.

“On a tip off, a team of Porshuram Thana Police led by its Sub-inspector S M Anik Mahmud conducted a raid there and arrested the man with the contraband Yaba tablets from the spot at 9:05 pm,” said a press release issued here today. 

The detainee was identified as Md. Faruk Ahmed, 33, son of Rahat Ali of village Madhdhyam Kadma in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district.

 “A case has been filed in this connection against the detainee under the Narcotics Control Act 2018 with Porshuram Thana Police of RpMP,” the release added.
