LAKSHMIPUR, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - On the occasion of Youth Festival, with the
theme of "Let's change the country, change the world," a Deyalika utsab
(little magazine) was held in the district today.
Over a hundred secondary, higher secondary and madrasa students participated
at the utsab highlighting the memory of the July-August Revolution.
Deputy Commissioner Rajib Kumar Sarkar inaugurated the festival at Sadar
upazila parishad Hallroom as the chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT and Education) Samrat Khisa, Sadar
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Jamshed Alam Rana, District Secondary
Education Officer Gautam Chandra Mitra and Upazila Secondary Education
Officer Didar Hossain spoke at the event.
Students, teachers and activists from various educational institutions
participated in the wall painting festival. The students depicted various
images of the movement struggle, including the images of the students and the
people who were martyred in the July-August Revolution, including Abu Sayed
and Mugdha.
The entire hall was decorated with wall paintings depicting the torture of
the Awami League (AL) and law enforcement agencies.
This festival will be celebrated in each upazila of the district in phases.
