BEIJING, Nov 17, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Chinese leader Xi Jinping told Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that the release of wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear plant affected the "health of humankind", Beijing's foreign ministry said Friday.

"Xi Jinping pointed out during a meeting with... Kishida that the release of contaminated water from Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant concerns the health of all mankind," foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said, adding Xi had urged Kishida during talks in San Francisco to consider "legitimate concerns at home and abroad".
