13 Sudanese migrants killed, 27 missing in shipwreck off Tunisia: court official

 TUNIS, Feb 8, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Thirteen Sudanese migrants died in a shipwreck off the coast of Tunisia on Thursday while 27 others remain missing, a Monastir court spokesperson told AFP.

The court official revised an initial count of 17 missing, adding that only two out of the 42 migrants who were on board the boat survived after leaving from Jebiniana, a small coastal town near Sfax.
