BISHKEK, Sept 2, 2024 (BSS/XINHUA) - Seven people were killed and six others
injured in a massive road accident in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, the press service
of the country's Main Directorate for Road Safety of Ministry of Internal
Affairs said in a press release.
A total of five cars were involved in the accident, which occurred at about
16:00 local time (1000 GMT) on the 51st km of the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart
highway.
A tire of a car that was traveling at high speed exploded, prompting the car
to veer into the oncoming lane and collide first with a minibus, and then
with other cars, the ministry said.
