BAKU, Nov 12, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday said nations at the COP29 summit must reach a deal that does not leave poorer countries "empty-handed" in their fight against climate change.

"Developing countries must not leave Baku empty-handed. A deal is a must," Guterres said in the capital of Azerbaijan, which is hosting the summit.
