BEIRUT, Lebanon, Nov 17, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Lebanese state media reported an Israeli strike on a central Beirut district on Sunday, as a security source told AFP it targeted the Lebanese branch of the Syrian Baath party.

"The enemy carried out a strike on Ras al-Nabaa," the official National News Agency said, an area near the French embassy and a university. The security source, requesting anonymity, told AFP the strike targeted "the Lebanese branch of the Syrian Baath party", whose office is located "in an apartment".
