MOSCOW, Nov 18, 2024 (AFP) - Russia's defence ministry on Monday claimed the capture of a new village in the eastern Donetsk region as its troops advanced towards the key logistics hub of Pokrovsk.

The ministry said its forces had "liberated" the small village of Novooleksiyivka about 15 kilometres (nine miles) from Pokrovsk.
