MADRID, April 29, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Power has been restored to more than 99 percent of mainland Spain, operator REE said Tuesday, a day after a massive blackout hit the Iberian peninsula.

At 6:00 am (0400 GMT), 99.16 percent of the electricity supply resumed with a production of 21.26 megawatts, REE said. The blackout began at 1033 GMT on Monday.
