UNITED NATIONS, United States, Aug  15, 2022 (BSS/AFP) - Grenada's former
environment minister Simon Stiell was appointed on Monday to be the new United
Nations climate chief, replacing Patricia Espinosa, the UN secretary-general's
office said.

The naming of the long-time advocate for the battle for climate action was
approved by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
