Tk 1,726cr allocated for Foreign Ministry

DHAKA, June 6, 2024 (BSS) - An allocation of Taka 1,726 crore has been made
for the Foreign Affairs Ministry in the proposed budget for the 2024-25
fiscal year (FY).
 
The allocation in the new budget is Taka 138 crore more than the revised
budget of 2023-24 fiscal that was Taka 1,588 crore.
 
The proposed budget of the fiscal 2023-24 for foreign affairs ministry was
Taka 1,657 crore.
 
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali made the announcement while placing
the budget for the new financial year before the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) today.
 
"Today, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh stands proudly
on the world stage," Ali said at his budget speech.
 
Currently, he said Bangladesh is recognized and highly acclaimed by the
international community as a nation that is maintaining the momentum of
development even amidst various adversities.
