Quader urges pro-liberation forces to get united to resist anti-liberation forces

DHAKA, Dec 14, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said the defeated forces of 1971 are still hatching conspiracy against the country and urged the pro-liberation forces to get united to resist the conspiracy.
 
"The defeated forces of 1971 are planning to take revenge . . . we, the pro-liberation forces, need to get united to thwart such conspiracy of anti-liberation forces," he told journalists after paying respect to the martyred intellectuals on behalf of the Awami League at the city's Rayer Bazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial.
 
He said the government continues its efforts to bring back the killers of Bangabandhu who are now hiding abroad for executing the court's verdict.
 
Awami League presidium members Matia Chowdhury, Dr Abdur Razzaque and Jahangir Kabir Nanak, joint general secretary and information and broadcasting minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, organizing secretaries Ahmad Hossain and Afzal Hossain, publicity and publication secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, science and technology affairs secretary Abdus Sabur and office secretary Biplob Barua, among others, were present.

Thousands of people from different parts of the capital thronged the Rayer Bazar Badhabhumi from early in the morning to pay their respect to martyred intellectuals who were killed by occupation Pakistani army and their collaborators such as Razakar, Al-Badar and Al-Shams on December 14, 1971.
