DHAKA, March 14, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today said there is no force in the country to defeat Awami League if the party remains united.
"Our party-Awami League is stronger today from any other party. And there is no strength to defeat Awami League if the party remain united," he said while addressing a view exchange meeting with the leaders of AL Kurigram district unit at the party central office in city's Bangabandhu Avenue.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain, AL Organising Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, AL Kurigram district unit president Jafar Ali, vice president and Ekushey Award winner Advocate Abraham Linkan and general secretary Aman Uddin Ahmed Manju, among others, addressed the meeting.
About BNP's movement, Hasan said BNP is now started road march after the declaration of toppling the government through intense movement. But, it will not be possible to topple the government by road march, he added.
There is no strength of any political party in the country to defeat the AL government through movement, he said, adding, Awami League is the champion in movement. So, it is nothing but a daydream of saying goodbye to AL through movement, said Hasan.
The minister urged BNP to take part in the next polls.
He said the grass root level organizations are the lifeline of the party (AL) and it is a party of commoners and the leaders and activists of grassroots level are strength of the party.
Awami League will be stronger if the grassroots organizations are strong. For this reason, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the instruction to identify weaknesses and find solutions, he added.
