DHAKA, June 12, 2023 (BSS) - Voting in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and Barishal City Corporation (BCC) elections began amid much enthusiasm this morning.
    
The voting began at 8am and will continue till 4pm without any break.

Voters are seen standing in long queues at polling centres to cast their votes using electronic voting machines (EVM) in a peaceful manner.

More than eight lakh voters of the two cities will elect their preferred candidates for the post of mayor and ward councillor.

The Election Commission is directly monitoring the voting situation in Khulna and Barishal City Corporation elections through CCTV footage from the control room installed in the election commission headquarters here.

No untoward incident was reported till this report was filed around 10.30am.
