DHAKA, July 15, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today received eye treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIO) by buying a ticket for TK 10 as like as a general patient. 

She exchanged greetings with all the patients and their relatives, doctors, nurses, employees who came to the hospital for treatment and took pictures while leaving the hospital after receiving treatment, said a press release of the Prime Minister's Press Wing. 

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister saw a child named Rabbi standing in the middle of the crowd. She approached  Rabbi with   compassion and affection  and wanted to know from the little boy - what is he doing, with whom he came to the hospital and  in which grade  he is studying.

The 11-year-old said that he works at the canteen of the hospital and lives there as well. His father is dead. He studied up to class two  before joining the canteen.

The boy appealed to the Prime Minister, "I want to go back to my mother in Chandpur. I want to resume my studies."

The Prime Minister became visibly emotional when she heard Rabbi's grief-stricken story.

 She took over the responsibility of his educational expenses and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials to take action in this regard and implement it properly.
