NOAKHALI, July 22, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said making falsehood by party leaders will cost BNP's fall.

He was addressing a peace and development rally arranged by Noakhali district unit of AL at Zila School ground here in the afternoon.

"The people know it very well that Tarique Rahman fled the country after laundering thousands of crores of Taka," he said.

Quader said: "Is it a matter to believe that the people will wage movement under his leadership? From where does the money of their movement come? This evil force should be resisted".

He said Tarique went abroad 16 years back giving a bond that he would not do politics anymore.

After looting thousands of crores of Taka, he now wants to create unrest in the country in the name of movement, the AL general secretary said.

The people, he said, will never respond to the call of this evil force.

Noakhali district AL President Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim chaired the rally while AL Organizing Secretary Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, district AL General Secretary Shahid Ullah Khan Sohel and lawmaker Nizam Uddin Hazari addressed it, among others.
