DHAKA, Sept 13, 2023 (BSS) – Information Commission (IC) has warned six government officials, including an Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), for delaying and showing negligence in providing information.

Chief Information Commissioner Dr Abdul Malek and information commissioners Shahidul Alam Jhinuk and Masuda Bhatti today passed the order after holding hearing on the complaints lodged by information seekers, said a press release here.

The warned officials are Dumuria UNO of Khulna district and Paba upazila project implementation officer and Haripur union parishad secretary of the upazila, Bagmara upazila women affairs officer, Charghat upazila project implementation officer and Katakhali paurasabha secretary of Rajshahi district.     

The commission today held hearing on 12 complaints and settled eight of them.
