DHAKA, Sept 30, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Liberation War veteran and former general secretary of Chattogram Press Club journalist Helal Uddin Chowdhury.

In a message of condolence, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Helal Uddin, Chattogram bureau chief of the National Bengali Daily Jai Jai Din, died of cardiac arrest at the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital on Friday evening.
