SINGAPORE, Oct 17, 2023 (BSS) - President Mohammed Shahabuddin will undergo open heart surgery at the National University Hospital here tomorrow. 

The Head of State was admitted to the National University Hospital of Singapore after the necessary health check-up this morning, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS.

The President's surgery will be held tomorrow morning under the supervision of eminent cardiac surgeon Prof Theodoros Kofidis.

The President sought blessings from the countrymen for his speedy recovery. 

Earlier, the President went to Singapore on Sunday for treatment.
