Tipu seeks continued global support to tackle graduation challenges

DHAKA, Oct 25, 2023 (BSS) - Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi today urged the foreign friendly countries to continue their cooperation so that Bangladesh can face the challenges of LDC graduation.

He made the call while meeting with South Korean Ambassador in Dhaka Park Young Sik, Swedish Ambassador in Dhaka Alexandra Berg Von Linde and Swiss Ambassador in Dhaka Reto Renggli separately at the Commerce Ministry in the city, said a press release.

During the meetings, they discussed on various issues, including infrastructure development, communication, health and education.

Tipu said under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved unprecedented development in all fields, including communication, infrastructure, health and education.

"Many mega projects have been implemented. The transition from LDC to developing country will take effect from 2026. As a result, Bangladesh will get some opportunities as well as some challenges," he added.

Pointing out that the government is preparing to face these challenges, Tipu Munshi called upon the foreign friendly countries to continue their cooperation.
