DHAKA, Jan 15, 2024 (BSS) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has congratulated Sheikh Hasina for her reelection of Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory letter wrote to her, the President said, "I am pleased to convey to you, on behalf of the Algerian people and government, and that of my own, my heartfelt congratulations following the overwhelming majority your party has won in parliament, and your reelection as Prime Minister of Bangladesh."

"Wishing you success in carrying out the duties of your new mandate," he added. 

Tebboune said, "I would like to express on this occasion my constant readiness to continue working towards consolidating our ties of friendship and solidarity, as well as raising the level of our relations and enhancing bilateral cooperation, so as to serve both countries' interests."

The Algerian president renewed his invitation to Sheikh Hasina to make an official visit to Algeria.

 "Please accept, Madame Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem," he ended.
