DHAKA, April 10, 2024 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today extended greetings to the countrymen as well as the Muslims across the world on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Muslim Ummah.

In a message, on the eve of the festival, she said Eid teaches a unique lesson of peace, sympathy and brotherhood.

People get connected with the bonds of equity, friendship and harmony forgetting jealousy-hatred and scuffle, she said.

The premier said Eid brings a message of joy in the life of all irrespective of rich and poor.

She hoped that the self-purification, moderation, amity and harmony of the Muslims will pervade in lives of individual, family, society and state.

May the life of every person be filled with happiness and endless joy of the holy Eid, she wished.

The premier urged all to avoid all kinds of injustice, lawlessness, scuffle and superstitions to establish the spirit of Islam, a religion of peace, at all levels of individual, social and national life in the country.

She prayed for continued peace and progress of the country as well as the Muslim Ummah.
