PATUAKHALI, Sept 23, 2024 (BSS) – Adviser to the interim government on the Ministries of Shipping, Textiles and Jute Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain today said the shipping ministry will not undertake any project under political consideration.

After visiting different development works at the Payra Seaport, the shipping adviser held a view-exchange meeting with the journalists here this morning.
“Implementation of all ongoing projects of the Payra Seaport will continue as usual,” the adviser added.

Besides, he said the shipping ministry is carrying out its overall activities by giving special priority to the development and progress of the Payra Seaport.

During the visit, Shipping ministry’s additional secretary Sanjay Kumar Bonik, Payra Port Authority chairman Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun, project director of the Payra Seaport Commodore Rajib Tripura were present at the meeting.
