DHAKA, Oct 8, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today called upon the government to post meritorious officials who supported the democracy-loving people in various positions.
"If cohorts of the ousted dictator persist in administration, they can push the country towards danger," he told journalists while distributing leaflets for raising awareness campaign for dengue prevention in the capital's Gulshan area.
He said: "You (interim govt) will definitely show generosity and humanity. But if the autocrat's accomplices, who didn't show any humanity or generosity and encouraged Sheikh Hasina to crack down on agitating students and people, persist in administration, they will create barriers in every step of you."
Rizvi urged the government to immediately identify the dictator's cohorts in administration and post the meritorious officials, who supported the democracy loving people or stay neutral during the students-led mass movement, in different positions in administration.
If the cohorts are not removed from their positions, they will take the country towards danger, he said, adding that "lords of a special superpower" are behind them.
Getting patronization and shelter from the force, the cohorts are still persisting in their positions and continuing to make evil designs against the interim government, said the BNP leader.
Rizvi urged all to remain alert so that deposed dictator cannot take rebirth and no more mothers have to lose their children.

Officials like Urmi are still holding various ranks in administration, he added.

Pointing to the officials who are being promoted and posted in administration, he said: “If you think that as you were deprived in the previous period and now you will also get involved in corruption likewise cohorts of the dictator, the nation will fall in darkness forever and the fallen dictator will attempt to return in various ways.”
